Relief care is basically just covering up symptoms. It does nothing to eliminate the underlying cause of your pain.
Pain is like a fire alarm, it is a symptom of an underlying major problem. If you hear a fire alarm ringing would you just pull the power cord or call the fire department to find and put out the fire? Relief care is like pulling the power cord on the alarm, while letting the fire rage on. Corrective care finds and puts out the fire. The alarm will stop ringing all by itself.
